evan came down on friday for visit.
it was funny to compare the differences in parties between LSE and INSEAD.
i think when the age group is shifted by about 8-10 years ... there's supposed to be some more maturity.
then again, when you get enough beer into people, maturity goes out the window.
On Tuesday night, I went to the Tori Amos concert in Paris.
Aside from the fact that it was a phenomenal concert, what was interesting was that it was a truly French event.
At home, when you go to a concert, you get hot dogs and beer.
In France, the street vendors stand on the sidewalks (beret and all) and actually sell baguettes.
It makes a lot of sense, everyone eats baguettes, but it just looks bizarre.
I live in a little village on the outskirts of Fontainebleau forest.
Last night while driving home, I nearly ran over two wild boar. The night before, there were deer grazing by the highway.
Then when I got home - a mouse ran through my kitchen. Sure brings back fond memories of living in the HOF.
On saturday night, one of the Brazilian girls was celebrating her birthday at this super upscale restaurant/dance club in Paris.
The food was excellent, the atmosphere amazing, and at midnight they turned the restaurant into a dance club.
At some point though, I went to the bar and asked for 4 bottles of water. The bartender handed me 4 bottles of 500ml water (nothing special) and asked me for 52 euros!
Ack. That's close to $80!!!
My god ..... the question is, what is the value of water?
Ah the economics of a monopoly market.....
