product reviews

MEC has nice laptop bags for $10. They fit 15" Powerbooks just right and are way cheaper than anything else I've seen.

OpenBSD 3.7 is now available for preorder. This release includes a pile of new wireless support thanks to a lot of hard work in convincing vendors to supply documentation to the developers and reverse-engineering products when the vendors refused.

Wendy got an iTrip a little while ago. I was skeptical at first, but it actually works pretty well once it's tuned properly. It's really important to find a station with no interference. If you're in my neighbourhood, try tuning in to 88.1 FM.

I just bought a Smart Alec and a Monolith from Tom Bihn (http://www.tombihn.com/page/001/PROD/300/TB0103). I've heard good things about them and you'll like their label (http://www.tombihn.com/page/001/CTGY/CARELABEL). It is still en-route from Port Angeles, I'll let you know what its like when it arrives.
