stand on guard
Today you wrote the Citizenship test. If you Pass this test you will be notified by mail to attend a Citizenship ceremony. This may take between 2 to 6 months. If you Fail this test, you will be notified by mail in the near future to appear for a hearing with a Citizenship Judge for an oral interview.

Hmm. I hope I passed. The question where we had to name Canada's national anthem was pretty tricky.

Did they ask about Lord Durham's report? I'm pretty sure it was important.

what about the british north america act? did that get any play?

did they make you renounce your criminal-aussie ways?

Once again, Durham's contribution to the Canadian socio-political landscape was overlooked. No BNA Act either. There was a question about Nunuvut, though. And what to do if you're not a registered voter (hint: call Elections Canada... well, that's the answer, not a hint).

And there will be no renouncing of any of my proud Australian heritage.

My supervisor was likewise disappointed when he took the test a few months ago; all that studying for what turned out to be a test of the simplest Canadiana.

It's nice that you still get to be Australian, I think.
