I got two flat panel displays today. Now my workstation looks high tech. They cleared up so much space on my desk that I was inspired to tidy up the rest of my office.

Posted by: Theodore on March 14, 2003 10:49 AMthey are advertised as being 3x as fast as others with a 25ms response time. have you noticed any difference between any other lcds you've looked at? I've got a dell (rebadged something else, I'm sure) which is kinda slow and annoying. I'd like to check out some of the new 'faster' panels and see if there is a qualitative difference.
Posted by: r. on March 16, 2003 11:47 AMI watched this week's episode of 24 on one of them and it looked great. I noticed some blurriness when I connected one of them through my KVM switch, so I've stopped using the switch.
Posted by: tim on March 16, 2003 02:51 PMdvi switch? or analog?
Posted by: ben on March 16, 2003 06:49 PMSadly, the displays are analog. Or analogue, as Mr. Munds would probably say.
Posted by: tim on March 16, 2003 10:37 PMdang it. I wish people would stop making analogue lcd's. 'though the current dvi-d implementation is rather poorly thought out I think - they didn't leave much room for growth in the bandwidth department as the max res is in the neighbourhood of 2048x1536.
