Science! (T dot)

Dance, ASIMO, dance!

Please don't kill mankind.

The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation is one of the more impressive science centres I've visited (and I visit a lot). Particularly impressive are the hand-dryers in the men's rooms. When I write ``hand-dryers,'' you may be thinking of the feeble North American devices under which you wring your hands futilely; these are not those. These are machines where you are grateful to get your hands back in one piece after every molecule of water has been blasted off them by winds of fury.

Some of the feeble North American devices have instructions on them.

1. shake off excess water
2. rub hands gently under dryer

It took me a long time to pay attention to them, but they do work, especially #2.

P.S. What’s with the old-school quotation marks? This isn’t TeX, buddy. Try setting the text formatting on your entries to Markdown with SmartyPants, and you’ll get lovely HTML quotation marks for free.
