were you the av club at your elementary school?
Posted by r. at February 15, 2004 02:24 PMNo, but I was in French immersion so there were always plenty of smartpants.
Posted by tim at February 16, 2004 06:03 PMsmartypants: like those kids in cpsc courses who'd always "correct" the prof when he wrote: i+++ instead of i++ and they'd yell out "excuse me, i don't understand what you wrote, did you mean i++? pay attention to me!"
nb: i actually managed to hit one of those kids in the back of the head with a pen. it was in the last class of the year for cpsc 216. it was glorious. watching the pen float through the air, twirling end over end ... he sure shut the fuck up in a hurry.
Posted by mike at February 17, 2004 12:34 PMwas it Kermit that you hit with the pen? I liked it when Dwight Markaroff shot him down in 315, he was the smartiestpants of them all, even more so than me, and I was in the so called A-Team with dr jones and ryan r in stats 302.
Posted by benf at February 18, 2004 06:47 AMto be quite honest, i can't remember -- most of cpsc 216 was spent pretty stoned. i don't think so. i told kermit to shut up a couple of times and he always got this sulky, little child expression. it was priceless.
Posted by mike at February 18, 2004 12:05 PMIf you think there are a lot of attention-seeking smartiepantses in CPSC, you should try law school.
While visiting over the weekend, Sav told me that in his MBA program they have this garden gnome that gets passed around the class whenever someone makes a dumbass remark. It's sort of like the conch, in reverse.
