warren, you are the stephen hawking of drinking.
and as for the jetta vs. aircare, here are some things to do:
1 - new plugs
2 - new catalytic converter
3 - new air filter?
4 - methyl hydrate in the gas tank
5 - maybe new o2 sensor?
6 - talk to orion
good luck. go jetta go!
Posted by michal at January 12, 2005 05:55 PMAnd NOS! You need NOS!
Posted by tedmunds at January 12, 2005 09:01 PMActually, it looks like the car is more in need of:
7 - new engine that doesn't destroy other parts by leaking oil.
Posted by warcode at January 12, 2005 10:09 PMor you could put studded tires on so that they automatically have to pass you as they can't put studded tires on the dyno.
I hear they sell NOS kits at Canadian Tire these days...huzzah!
In other news, I drove a newish 2002 Jetta the other day. Drove nice, but the pickup was a little limp. Mind you, it does get like 60 mpg, but I don't think they would like the Ontario winters too much.
Have fun driving the smegma yellow Jetta...
Posted by bricode at January 13, 2005 05:04 AMTimE: Actually, NO was part of the emissions problem. If only there was some way to harness that to make NOS boosts.
Michal: Did you mentiont this Stephen Hawking thing recently? I sure can't remember.
Posted by warcode at January 14, 2005 12:41 AMOh yeah, and I forgot to say that your ideas were good, Michal. I did talk to Orion at some point. And the O2 sensor has apparently "been tampered with" at some stage, who knows when.
