i concur wholeheartedly. i would imagine a ubc bookstore employee makes more than an amazon/chapters employee, so that may be part of it (union employees at ubc bookstore). amazon.co.uk is usually the best deal on books that i've found; plus evan had that site that would trawl all of the online book sites and find the best deals for you. that thing was great.
onepricetexts.com lives!
Unfortunately, the code was lost during one of Cory's manic $HOME cleanups. We could probably re-create it in a few days, however....

The University of Windsor's bookstore offered me $9 for a $120 hardcover text in perfect condition. That was after one term. They did the same for the very few texts they would even consider buying. Excuses were "we're not offering that course next term" (somewhat valid) and "there's a new edition coming out in February or March" (HATE -- how does that affect sales for next term?) I think they were willing to give about $30 for a bag of books I could barely carry. Fuck you very much!
