This land full of lava rock is known as the Dee Wright Observatory (in Oregon). It was this REALLY REALLY REALLY big area of lava rocks, where astronauts once practiced walking here before walking on the moon. You can't really tell though, because this photo is mostly parking lot.
This is the door of the super cute little echo that we rented, which had a trunk that was so small, that the only reason I can say with certainity that I could fit into it, would be because I fit into the box in science world which was roughly the same size.
